How it all started

Hi, my name is Emily Risley, and I have put together Cutting Edge Design. This is a fairly new hobby to me, that I had started in 2021. I love to make things and these sawblades have been something for me to do in my spare time that I truly enjoy doing. It all started with a gallon of epoxy and a stack of used sawblades, and now here I am attempting to create a website to showcase some of the work I've created... :)  (But in my honest opinion, the pictures DO NOT do the clocks or any of the blades justice once they are finished.. but hey, that's just my opinion, they are very hard to photograph!)

Anyways, back to the point.. I specialize in sawblade clocks, and recently have been making other sawblade projects such as pet memoirs, house numbers and wall hangings. It's a learning prcocess, each project has taught me something new which helps me with future projects. My favorite part about it all is, when I hand the finished work over to the customer and see the look on their faces.

One last shout out! I haven't made it this far alone, my boyfriend Tim is a huge part of the reason I am able to make these pieces. He's the handyman who cuts the blades to length for the orders, and welds the hangers on the backs of each saw. He has helped me, listened to me, and supported me through every blade that has been through our door; the good and the bad. So, Thank you Tim, I appreciate you!
